FAQs

What's your question?

Don't see the answer? Contact the Academy Director at info@theaah.com.au.

I already have a group. Can we join the AAH together?

Absolutely. You can do this in addition to regular harmony classes, or as an alternative, you can book in for a series of private group coaching sessions. Go to the courses page to register.

What happens if a student is sick or absent?

We are very health-conscious at AAH and wish to protect both the singer who may be unwell from damaging their voice, and the class from contracting any contagious germs. As a result, we encourage those who are under the weather to give themselves the day off, rest their voice, and we'll see them the following week.

N.B. Individual week classes are non-refundable.

I can't hold a harmony. Is the Academy too advanced for me?

Students are streamed into classes based largely on their ability in the part-holding realm. Those not yet confident in harmony are recommended to begin externally in a choral environment to hone their harmony-holding ability, and perhaps register for some 1:1 harmony lessons. They will then be invited to audition for AAH as their skills improve.

How do I reserve my place?

By completing payment for one term's tuition on the COURSES page. You will then be sent details for the term and a registration form. Assessments will take place in week one of each term during class. If you have chosen a different class than the one in which you are placed, this will be rectified once placements are finalised.

How large are class sizes?

Red Harmony Classes will be capped at 25 students.

Blue Harmony Classes will be capped at 20 students.

Skills classes, which combine Blue and Red groups, will therefore contain up to 45 students.
